Tax Advisory Officer (Part Time)

• Paying $42ph + super
• Parramatta NSW location with hybrid working flexibility (2 days from home)
• Temp Part Time contract for 3 months with possible 3 month extension
• Working 21 hours per week, 7 hours per day

About the Role

Our client is a NSW government organisation based in Parramatta NSW. They are currently seeking a Taxation Advisory Officer to come in and work with them on a Part time temp contract opportunity until 29th August 2026.

Candidates for this role must have:

• Proven experience in Australian taxation compliance experience

• Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Tax Office (ATO) legislative requirements

• Experience working in a "high-volume" environment where meeting deadlines and maintaining data integrity is critical

• Previous government experience (Desirable)

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of high-volume individual, trust and estate tax returns
• Checking notice of assessments
• Answering income tax queries
• Responding to ATO correspondences

About You

You will be an experienced Tax Advisory/Compliance professional with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Proven experience in Australian taxation compliance experience
• Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Tax Office (ATO) legislative requirements
• Experience working in a "high-volume" environment where meeting deadlines and maintaining data integrity is critical
• Previous government experience (Desirable)
